Dec 8, 2019

You’re asking yourself, why should I spend more on black castor oil when it is made from the same nut and regular castor oil?

We went over the major differences between our black castor oil and regular castor oil here. I suggest checking that post out first before continuing.

Now that you know what makes black castor oil different and why it is so famous, I’ll give you a list of the benefits that it is loaded with.

Nutrients:

Ricinoleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid that acts as humectant and can be used to moisturize the hair & skin. It retains moisture by preventing loss of water from the surface of the skin and hair, hence sealing in moisture. It easily penetrates the skin to soothe and soften dry rough patches such as cracked heels, etc.

Ricinoleic acid also stimulates elastin and collagen production which is wonderful for that anti-aging effect! This acid gives black castor oil its amazing anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and pain-reducing properties. These properties prevent irritation, redness, itchiness, swelling, sunburn and acne (to name a few), making it wonderful to combat acne and other skin conditions such as eczema, etc.  To top it all off, this wonder acid which makes up about 90% of black castor oil.
